Metal Ring Type Joints

Sampson supply only API monogram approved Ring Type Joints. For use in the oil, gas and petrochemical industries. Used for applications subject to high temperature and pressures. Manufactured in full compliance with International standards.

The carefully controlled hardness of the Ring Type Joint guarantees a very good seal without damaging the surface of the flanges. Available in 3 styles - Style R , Style RX & Style BX, and in a variety of materials. (Further information given below). In accordance with ASME B 16.20 and API 6A.
 
Style R: Oval Style R Oval and Octagonal configurations are interchangeable on flat bottomed groove flanges. Oval section being a modified version providing better sealing performance.
Style R: Oct
Style RX Style RX - an adaptation of the Style R, using a pressure energised effect which improves the efficiency of the seal as the internal system pressure rises.
Style BX Style BX - used for very high pressures up to 20,000 psi. A pressure balance hole equalises any pressure which may be trapped in the grooves.
